David L. Childers was born in Long Beach, California in 1945 and spent most of his childhood in Sierra Madre, California. He has lived in Texas, Germany, Seattle, Boston and now resides in Los Angeles. He has played music since early childhood. He sang in choirs at church and school, studied piano beginning at age 12 and began to teach himself guitar at age 17. David attended Berklee School of Music in Boston in 1969-1970 and attended college as a music major at Seattle Community College and Los Angeles Community College. He has played in rock and roll bands, country bands, r & b bands, blues bands and blue grass and old timey groups. His band, "The David C Band", a funky, bluesy, rhythm and blues band gigs occasionally around Los Angeles. David has practiced yoga since 1994 and is currently the owner/proprietor of Neighborhood Yoga in Pasadena, California. He studied yoga with Marge Mclenon in Pasadena, at the White Lotus Foundation in Santa Barbara, California and at the Mt. Madonna Center in California.
